On June 7, we were delighted to unveil our latest custom-built catamaran, the SAILCOOP 61.01, at a christening ceremony attended by its godmother, Isabelle Autissier.
This new vessel, designed by VPLP Design and built by Chantier de l’Arsenal, marks a significant milestone in our commitment to more sustainable and environmentally friendly shipping. SAILCOOP 61.01 is an innovative catamaran, specifically designed for passenger transport under sail, with the goal of actively contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions in the maritime sector.
This project perfectly embodies our vision of a more eco-responsible future for commercial shipping. This catamaran, which can accommodate up to 80 passengers, is also fully accessible to people with reduced mobility, offering an inclusive travel experience that meets accessibility standards.
Starting this summer, ISABELLE—the ship’s name—will operate a regular service between Concarneau and the Glénan Islands, allowing passengers to discover these magnificent destinations while embarking on a unique journey that combines comfort, performance, and environmental responsibility.
We are proud of this project and confident that it will contribute to the maritime sector’s energy transition by offering a greener and more sustainable transportation alternative. This inauguration marks the beginning of a new era for Chantier de l’Arsenal, where innovation, performance, and environmental responsibility come together to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
