OUR VARIOUS TRADES

COMPOSITE OPERATORS

The Chantier de l’Arsenal employs ten composite operators, including a team leader and three shift supervisors.

The three composite operators at the marble post manufacture infusion composite parts. The first step in the marble process is to gel-coat the parts with a contact sealing fabric. The second stage is draping and infusion. At the end of this process, the composite parts are ready for custom trimming.

The six composites operators in contact, and their team leader, carry out lamination operations, applying the different layers of fabric according to technical drawings, to ensure the strength and lightness of the structures. They also carry out the corniering, a key step aimed at reinforcing the junctions between the parts, thus guaranteeing the rigidity and durability of the whole.

COMPOSITE CARPENTERS

Seven composite carpenters, including a team leader, work at the Chantier de l’Arsenal.

Composite carpenters are involved in various stages of boat assembly. They are in charge of the installation and precise adjustment of structural and trim components. They also assemble the frames, as well as shimming and aligning all composite elements, especially the bottom planks, in accordance with hull tolerances.

COMPOSITE FINISHING OPERATORS

Four composite finishing operators, including a team leader, work at the Chantier de l’Arsenal.

The three composite finishing operators, supervised by their team leader, are involved in the final phase of manufacturing to guarantee the aesthetics and surface quality of composite parts. They finish all coatings, ensuring surface regularity and correcting defects in appearance. They apply gelcoat, carry out painting operations, then proceed with sanding, polishing and buffing. Composite finishing operators contribute to the impeccable appearance of hulls, decks and fittings.

CHANDLERS

The Chantier de l’Arsenal employs six chandlers, including a team leader.

The chandlers are responsible for fitting and installing all the fittings required for the proper operation and ergonomics of the ship. At the end of the assembly line, they position winches, blockers, windlasses, cleats, rails, covers, handrails and other deck equipment with precision.

Our design office

In addition to its teams in the field, Chantier de l’Arsenal also relies on the Yacht Concept design office, which employs 32 people.
