About Greencat 52′

Boat presentation

An eco-designed pleasure catamaran

Designed by architect Philippe Renaudeau and entered into construction in 2022 at Chantier de l’Arsenal for delivery in October 2023, GREENCAT 52′ is the first 100% custom-built composite pleasure catamaran built by Chantier de l’Arsenal.

Equipped with electric propulsion and a downwind sail area of 216m², it is particularly efficient and environmentally friendly.

The Greencat 52′ was designed to facilitate sailing with a small crew by bringing all maneuvers back to the cockpit. The layout of the saloon allows you to enjoy your days in a convivial atmosphere, offering a single large living space. Finally, it was essential to facilitate maintenance by making all equipment, fittings, and connections accessible and removable.

Focus on ethics

A boat that incorporates a wide range of ecological and social considerations

  • Electric propulsion.
  • 10m2 of solar panels.
  • Entirely designed using recycled PET foam.
  • Excellent insulation thanks to a thick composite sandwich of up to 60mm, reducing energy consumption for heating.
  • No air conditioning, replaced by an innovative natural ventilation system.
  • Deck layout designed to support soft mobility at anchor, with a “ready-to-use” bike locker.
  • Rainwater harvesting system.
  • Foldable propeller for hydrogen-powered operation.
