ONE SHAPE® PROCESS

Decisive advantages in terms of cost reduction, time saving and environmental performance

A new way of designing and building composite boats

Cost savings, time savings & ecological performance

One Shape® is an innovative process, developed in 2015, that is transforming the way composite boats are designed and built. It enables us to build custom-made boats without traditional molds.
This revolutionary process offers decisive advantages in terms of cost reduction, time savings and ecological performance.

A simplified, cost-effective process
By eliminating the need for molds

One of the main advantages of One Shape® is the absence of molds. Traditionally, the manufacture of molds represents a major investment in terms of cost and production time. Now, we don’t need this step, and the construction can start immediately and considerably reducing production lead-times. By eliminating the need for molds, we also make substantial savings on manufacturing costs, while optimizing the use of materials.

A solid, lightweight and durable structure
Composite sandwich panel assembly

The One Shape® process is based on the assembly of composite sandwich panels made from recycled PET foam. These panels are manufactured by vacuum infusion on a universal plane tool, creating strong, lightweight and durable structures. This approach reduces the consumption of raw materials and the energy required for manufacturing, while lowering environmental impact. Boats produced with One Shape are therefore lighter, making them not only more efficient, but also more energy-efficient.

Optimized finishing, fewer materials, lower costs
Lighter, stronger boats & reduced environmental impact

Another feature of the One Shape® process is that the composites produced do not require any additional treatments, such as topcoats. This optimization enables further savings in terms of cost and weight, while offering maximum performance. As a result: lighter, stronger boats and a reduced environmental impact.

Continuous innovation towards eco-design
Low carbon footprint, optimum performance

Committed to an eco-design approach, we are constantly striving to improve our manufacturing processes. The integration of flax fibers in certain parts of our ships is a concrete example of our determination to reduce the environmental impact of our production. This contributes to the manufacture of boats with a low carbon footprint, while guaranteeing optimum performance.

The benefits of the One Shape® process

Material and energy savings:

Thanks to the absence of mold, we save materials and energy.

Reduced ecological impact:

Less consumption of raw materials, fewer chemical treatments and a reduced carbon footprint.

Recycled and recyclable materials:

Recycled PET and flax fibers help minimize waste and promote a more sustainable life cycle for our ships.

Lighter ships:

Optimized structure for more efficient, less energy-consuming propulsion.

One Shape® is much more than just a construction process, it’s a vision of the future for a greener, more efficient and more sustainable shipbuilding industry. By combining technical innovation with respect for the environment, we are meeting the challenges of modern, responsible shipbuilding.
