Chantier de l’Arsenal is proud to announce the delivery of two new electric passenger shuttles to the City of Les Sables d’Olonne—a significant step forward toward more sustainable and innovative urban mobility. Designed to address environmental and public transport challenges, each shuttle can carry 50 passengers, including 2 persons with reduced mobility.
The shuttles were delivered to the port and officially unveiled during their inauguration on October 16th, in the presence of Yannick Moreau, mayor of the city and president of the urban authority.
Designed by NepTech and built by Chantier de l’Arsenal in La Rochelle, these 11.90-meter vessels feature modern electric propulsion with a “H2 Ready” option to support future energy transitions. They offer seating for 50 passengers, including two accessible PMR spaces, as well as storage for 8 bicycles.
This new fleet will help improve traffic flow and enhance the city’s green mobility offer, particularly ahead of the Vendée Globe start on November 10th, 2024.
This project, the result of close collaboration with our partners and the Les Sables d’Olonne urban authority, reflects our commitment to greener, environmentally friendly and accessible mobility solutions.
