The latest Day 1 Catamarans, model—21.3 meters long and 10.9 meters wide—has just left La Rochelle. A new adventure begins for Mokai Vaka, now heading to Tahiti!

Its open, clever and modular layout offers a wide range of possibilities for the 150 tourists on board. The 230 m² deck can be fully reconfigured depending on the excursion:

  • For outings to the natural atoll of Tetiaroa, the deck becomes a relaxation area offering up to 64 lounge spaces.
  • For Polynesian brunches at sea, 96 dining seats are deployed.
  • For evening cruises, lounge and dining configurations can be combined to suit all guests.

Beyond its operational versatility, Mokai Vaka is gentle and quiet under sail thanks to its 160 m² sail plan. It is fully energy-autonomous with 30 m² of solar panels (19 individual panels) and two onboard wind turbines.

We are proud to see Mokai Vaka reach her homeport in Papeete. Mauruuru roa to Bruce and Caroline Andrieux (Mokai Tours Tahiti) for their trust. We wish them fair winds for the operation of this magnificent vessel.

(“Mauruuru roa” means “thank you” in Tahitian.)
